Number porting is the transfer of an existing phone number from your current service provider to a new service provider. Number porting enables you to maintain your current phone numbers while taking advantage of what the new service provider can offer. To start the number porting process, we require a signed copy of a letter of authorization (LOA) and an invoice from your previous service provider to prove ownership of the number and facilitate between the old and new service providers. Can I port my Google Voice number? Yes, you can. First, you need to unlock your Google Voice number. Then send us a screenshot of the unlocked number as a proof of your ownership, instead of the phone service invoice. Please note that the first and last names you gave on the Letter of Authorization (LOA) should match what you provided in your Google Voice account profile.
