What is Call Transfer?
Call transfer is a feature that allows a user to redirect an ongoing phone call from one phone line to another. This can be done either to a sub-user/team or to an external phone number.
There are typically two types of call transfers:
Warm Transfer (Attended Transfer): The agent transferring the call speaks to the recipient before transferring the caller, ensuring the recipient is informed about the call's context. Cold Transfer (Blind Transfer): The agent transfers the call directly without speaking to the recipient, and the caller is passed on without any handover. Benefits of Call Transfer: 1. Below are the steps to perform call conferencing through the CallHippo dialer:
Step 1: Go to CallHippo’s dialer - https://dialer.callhippo.com/dial and initiate a call.
Step 2: Click on Transfer/Add Call button
Step 3: You will be redirected to a new window where you will get three options to transfer the calls to:
Sub-User: You can transfer a call to a sub-user associated with your CallHippo account.
Contacts: You can transfer the call to contacts stored in your CallHippo account, or manually add a number for transfer.
Teams: Likewise, you can transfer calls to the teams set up within your CallHippo account.
Step 4: After selecting your desired option, such as a contact from your CallHippo account, you'll see the following options:
Step 5: You will get two options: Transfer Now OR Talk to first
Talk to first: This option allows for a warm transfer, where you speak to the recipient before transferring the call, providing context for a smooth transition.
Transfer Now: This option is for a cold transfer, where the call is handed off directly without any prior communication.

Step 1: Once the call is placed/on ongoing call click on Forward
Step 2: Enter the number to which you wish to transfer
Step 3: Before the call is transferred you will get an option to talk to the transferee first

How can I internally call our agents from the dialer?
You can call your agents of your CallHippo account by dialing their 3 digit extension. There won’t be any charges for internal calling through extension.
What are different types of call transfer?
There are two types of transfer available: Blind and Warm
Blind Transfer:
A blind transfer is when you transfer the caller to another agent or contact without speaking to the new agent first.
Using this option, the agent you select for transferring the call will hear their phone ring and can accept or reject the transfer. Once the call is accepted, it will be dropped out on your end.
Warm Transfer:
A warm transfer is when you speak with the new agent before the call is transferred. You can tell the designated agent about the caller's issue and give any background information before transferring the call (without the caller hearing). You can also join the call and turn it into a 3-way call.
How can users enable the call transfer feature?
Call Transfer feature is auto active in the Ultimate Plan under the Office Phone System category and the Platinum Plan in the Call Center Solution category.
It does not require manual-activation.
Which plan includes Call Transfer calling?
The call transfer feature is available with the Silver and Platinum plan.
My plan doesn't have a Call Transfer calling?
This is because you might be using the basic or bronze pricing plan of CallHippo.
What are the charges for Call Transfer?
There are no separate charges for the call transfer feature, it is an in-built feature available with the Ultimate Plan under the Office Phone System category and the Platinum Plan in the Call Center Solution category.
I am not able to perform call transfer, what could be the possible reasons?
Following can be the probable reasons:
You are currently not subscribed to a plan that includes the call transfer feature. This option is only available in the Ultimate Plan under the Office Phone System category and the Platinum Plan in the Call Center Solution category.
If you are trying to use the call transfer feature while making a call from the Indian number in your account, please be aware that this option is not available when dialing from an Indian number.
